I consider myself to be an artist, spectator, image maker/curator. My works, in form of video, digital art and installation, investigate time and space and its representation in the form of images. My belief in the idea of realism in arts, which is the accurate and detailed depiction of contemporary life, directs my sight at the internet. Connected to Bertolt Brecht’s view on realism, I believe that the cyberspace is the defining medium to examine life in the bad new days, highlighted by the prevalence of screens, surveillance and spectacles. It is my daily routine, as everybody else, to look at internet images, but my focus is how they are produced and displayed, and how the viewers interact with them. I use the internet's “materiality” to examine the present times, probing into how an image is presented and consumed on it.

My work often feature screenshots and found images on everyday online platforms, including Google Maps and Instagram, looking into the net’s interfaces and the state of an image to be concealed or revealed. I admire the works by Martin Parr, Thomas Ruff and Douglas Gordon.
